Aubrac
Aubrac
The Aubrac is a huge basalt and granite plateau of nearly 2500 km² and extends over 3 departments and thus over 2 regions: Aveyron and Lozère (Occitania) and Cantal (Auvergne - Rhône Alpes). Undulating landscapes with meadows as far as the eye can see, paths lined with granite stones, beech forests, cascading borders, Aubrac cannot leave you indifferent... With an altitude of between 1000 and 1400 m, it has a mountain climate with long and harsh winters. But when the weather is fine, it is an exceptional flora of diversity that points its nose! And something new in 2018: Aubrac has become the 53rd Regional Natural Park.
Aubrac is a privileged site for hiking, mountain biking, snowshoeing, cross-country skiing and cross-country skiing.
