Ride along a UNESCO Heritage and visit Carcassonne
6 days / 5 nights (from Castelnaudary) or 7 days / 6 nights (from Toulouse)
The Canal du Midi is the clue for this trip. Riding on the towpath's canal, you start your itinerary in the Lauragais (or Toulouse), you visit Carcassonne, you cross the Corbières and you end up on the Mediterranean Sea.
Thanks to the huge work financed by Paul Riquet, you visit a wide diversity of landscape and of architectural heritage. At last but not the least, local delectable food and wines will melt in your mouth.

You have at your disposal a detailed topo-synthesis (cartographic documents), a topo-guide and the corresponding IGN 1/100,000th maps. Your accommodation and meals are reserved.

We felt that you didn't choose the accommodation places by chance and that this is in line with the ethics of your association which we strongly share . You might as well say that we will recommend your services and, as your proposals for a stay are particularly attractive, it is not impossible that we will continue on our way in your company!
The only "black spot" but which is not up to you but to the SNCF is the Sète / castelnaudary journey where we had to travel in a train not adapted to the transport of bicycles with the addition of a change in Narbonne...

We had a wonderful week, everything was there. Landscapes better than we imagined, top-of-the-range services, except on the last day, it's a shame to end up in this hotel.
Otherwise, nothing to say, map very well drawn, we were always expected and with a smile, transfer without worries, we will recommend you, without the last hotel (!) .

We have enjoyed these three days very much. Many positive points, the welcome, the meals (excellent and refined) and even we had original picnics especially on the 3rd day and the 1st day. The equipment was in excellent condition (except for a deflated tire at the start!) but the provider was punctual. We really enjoyed the region that we don't know very well.

Possible variants :
- Departure from Toulouse: 6-day hike to the Mediterranean Sea.
- Departure from Carcassonne: 3 days hike to Agde
- Fomule randonnée 30 to 35 km / day - Family formula with child : 20 to 30 km / day (baby seat or trailer rental)

We all know the impact of our car travels on the environment. Driving to the holidays location can produce a large amount of CO2 because of the long haul distance to get away...
Therefore, if low impact mobility interests you, Castelnaudary or Toulouse, welcomes you. A bus or our minivan can take you to your accommodation.
