With this hike, we offer you a true immersion in the mountains at the heart of the Massif Central. On these volcanic highlands, each day brings new treasures in the heart of unspoilt nature: high-altitude meadows, moors, peat bogs, steep or eroded peaks, rugged ridges, glacial lakes... The ascent of Puy de Sancy - 1,886 m - will take you to the roof of the Massif Central. From the summit ridges, you can enjoy a 360° panorama: in the distance, the Monts du Cantal, the Mézenc, the Forez... And to top it all off, the evening stopover will reveal the specialities of Auvergne, rewarding your efforts of the day !
Guided tour package
Passionate about his region, the guide will share his knowledge of the landscape, geology, fauna, flora and heritage with you.
2 options:
1- You can take this itinerary with a local mountain guide (A.E.M) - groups of 4 to 6 people.
2- We also offer a star-shaped hiking package accompanied by a local guide who will show you their favourite spots in the heart of the Sancy massif.
Freedom package
- You will be provided with IGN maps (1:25,000) and a detailed guide to the hike (cartographic documents).
This trip requires a good level of fitness due to the elevation gain on some stages.

This trip requires good physical condition and stamina (due to the length of some stages and elevation changes). As with any multi-day sporting activity, we recommend (where possible) that you prepare physically by walking to build or improve your stamina. A few gym sessions or jogging sessions can also help prepare you for this trip.
